May 13, 2022 | 3:02 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Tree planting and irrigation infrastructure installation will begin Monday at Saratoga Dog Park.

Around 20 trees will be planted within the dog park, which will provide dog owners and their pets with shade. The trees are also being planted to help improve the beautification of the space.

The project is split into two phases to ensure the park remains partially open to the public during this time. Visitors are asked to follow all area signs and allow crews room to work.

Work is expected to continue until the end of May.

Temporary Lane Closure

The southbound lane of 10 Avenue SW near the Hillside Cemetery between Ninth Street SW and 13 Street NW will be closed to replace a main gas line starting Monday, May 16.

The north entrance to the cemetery will not be accessible to the public during construction.

Traffic will continue to move in both directions with the use of flag personnel. Detours are not required, though drivers can choose to select an alternate route to avoid delays. Motorists are asked to obey all construction signage, slow to 30 km/h, and use caution around the work area.

The project will continue for the rest of the month.
