Danielle Smith returns to Alberta politics with eye on UCP leadership
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The former leader of the Wildrose Party wants to make a return to Alberta politics.
Danielle Smith held a virtual news conference Friday morning to announce she will be seeking the UCP nomination in the constituency of Livingstone-Macleod which includes High River where she currently resides. The seat is currently held by UCP backbencher Roger Reid.
Smith says while Premier Jason Kenney has done a tremendous job on making sure Alberta attracts business investment to our province he continues to face challenges.
