Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – March 14

Mad Hatter

It’s the majority of vaccinated people that should take credit for society being able to return to some semblance of normal not the protestors or conveys. These protestors and conveys do not speak for the majority.

Mad Hatter

Happy about the protest for unmasking and not restrictions. I now do not need to pickup my dog dodo as I should be free to do as I please. Weed cleanup does not need to be done, as I should be free to do as I please. I do not need to shovel my sidewalk either. And I really want a front drive even if it impacts my neighbours. I am free to throw my cigarette butts any place I want. Let’s all just be free to do what we please regardless how it impacts others.

Mad Hatter

Got newest utility due to pay in early March, almost every fee went up! When people are hurting the city ups all the fees. Electric service charge, Capacity charge, facilities charge, consent fees are up. Gas consent up. Water service charge and commodity charge up. Sewer charge up and recycling up. Why? Why not just cut garbage pickup to biweekly and not raise fees instead?

Mad Hatter

Why is everyone beating up our government? They are trying to open things up. If it was up to the Doctors, or the teacher’s union or the Calgary and Edmonton mayors we would still be in lockdown. Our government is trying to get the economy going, so don’t be so hard on them, go after the ones who still want to lock everything up and have everyone stay at home. Send your complaints to these groups and tell them to open things up not shut them down.

Mad Hatter

How misinformed are residents that our utility bills have been rising for the last 3 years since UCP arrived cause they released the cap. Oil prices are very high. Previous council/mayor increased the prices before October 2021.

Mad Hatter

Was near the MLA office on Saturday, I guess all those standing up with signs have lots of time to on their hands. There are a ton of organizations that are looking for volunteers. That would be way more beneficial to society than holding up at stupid sign.

Mad Hatter

Which is more costly: the Premier’s $40/ton on big emitters or carbon tax of $40/ton? It’s revenue that could be used to lower our utility bills with a cap!!! Our insurance cap removed. Dental cap removed. Power cap removed.
