Cirque du Soleil coming back to the Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Cirque du Soleil is returning to Medicine Hat for the first time since 2018

From June 1-5, Co-op Place will be transformed into the insect-inspired OVO show. The 52-person production will have artists dressed as colourful crickets, spiders, dragonflies and fireflies.

OVO is an ongoing arena touring show and will be making stops all across Canada. Senior publicist Janie Mallet is excited to bring the family-friendly event to Medicine Hat.

“It’s a Cirque du Soleil show so there’s lots of acrobatics, high-level acrobatics, both in the air aerial and on the ground, we’ve got contortionists, and hand balancers and trampolinists, and aerial straps and cradle I mean you name it, clowns,” Mallet said.
