Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta looking for volunteer board members

Mar 2, 2022 | 1:28 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – One of our area’s largest nonprofits is seeking volunteer board members.

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is looking for people who can commit to approximately five hours a month and serve a minimum three-year term.

Board members serve as ambassadors, build, promote and maintain relationships with communities across Southeast Alberta. They follow a governance model that includes diverse viewpoints, strategic leadership, collective decision-making and planning for the future.

Applicants are asked to email a letter of interest outlining their passion for community involvement and business knowledge that will contribute to the mission and operations of CFSEA to Frances Barnes at board@cfsea.ca by Friday, April 15.

CFSEA goes through a formal recruitment process with a Committee of Nominators, chaired by the Mayor of Medicine Hat to ensure equitable representation. Although nominations can be made, staff and the Board do not have decision-making rights.
