Medicine Hat Auto Racing Association planning Canada Day Festival

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Auto Racing Association is speeding along with plans for a Canada Day Festival at the speedway.

“We wanted to announce this early so that it is done right. There’s a lot of planning and execution that needs to begin now,” says Medicine Hat Auto Racing Association president Curtis Bigelow. “We are excited to show the wonderful new amenities that we have planned to build out at the Medicine Hat Speedway this spring to provide some unique experiences at our regular and special events. We are always excited to see new families, fans and drivers join us.”

A pancake breakfast, kids’ activities, food trucks and more are tentatively planned, according to a statement. There will also be events for the public to participate in like Race your Junk, Street Car Races, School Bus Races, Razer Races, Golf Cart Races and more to be announced.

A Canada Day salute on the stage complete with birthday cake and more are also coming down the pipe, organizers say.

The organization has begun plans for many improvements out at the grounds, one of them being a new VIP/Beer Gardens and Dining Area in the works for the 2022 season. Another being the Kal Tire Kidz Klub area.
