Two Tigers, one Bandit on NHL’s mid-term draft rankings

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Three players patrolling the blueline in southeastern Alberta are included in the NHL Central Scouting mid-term rankings.

Medicine Hat Tigers defender Pavel Bocharov leads the way listed at 157th among North American skaters.

Bocharov joined the Tigers just after Christmas in a trade with Prince George. He’s scored one goal and six assists so far this season.

Not far behind is Bogdans Hodass listed at 173rd among North American skaters. He’s picked up three goals and 13 assists so far this season.

Brooks Bandits’ defender Zach Bookman is listed 208th among North American skaters. He leads Bandits defensemen with 77 points on 18 goals and 59 assists.

Shane Wright of the Ontario Hockey League’s Kingston Frontenacs ranks No. 1 among North American skaters for the 2022 NHL Draft.

Matt Savoie and Connor Geekie of the Winnipeg ice are the top Western Hockey League players, ranked third and fourth, respectively.
