Hospitalizations rising as province estimates 4,000 new COVID-19 cases
Preliminary estimates show Alberta has topped its previous daily COVID-19 case record by more than 1,000 cases on Thursday.
The province estimates there are 4,000 new COVID cases today.
It’s the third time in a week and second time in as many days Alberta has set a new daily record, following the record 2,775 cases in the detailed update on Dec. 29.
The province is also estimating a 30 per cent positivity rate today, also a record after the positivity rate in yesterday’s detailed update was 29.5.
