Applications for 2022 Canada Summer Jobs program now open

Dec 23, 2021 | 2:21 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The federal government-sponsored 2022 Canada Summer Jobs program provides opportunities for those ages 15-30 to gain work experience by providing funding to employers for hiring.

Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner MP Glen Motz chose not-for-profit, small businesses, parks and rec, agriculture and tourism as the sectors in our riding that are priorities for this program.

Motz calls this program a win-win.

“It’s about getting young people the opportunity to have employment opportunities and to learn skill development and it’s also an avenue where not for profits, small businesses and municipal supports can have the manpower and resources to carry out their community services,” Motz said.

Not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and private sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees can apply for funding now until Jan. 25.
