Alberta Health Services says no children have been hospitalized because of a COVID-19 vaccination.
The agency that manages health care in the province posted the notice on social media to push back against misinformation surrounding the vaccine.
The latest data indicates that more than 60,000 children between five and 11 have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The province says parents who want a vaccination for their child should seek reliable, accurate information or speak directly with a medical professional.
