MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat’s annual ringette tournament is back for the first time in two years.

The Ed Horvath Interprovincial Ringette Tournament will welcome 35 teams from across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Athletes from U10 all the way to Open (18 and up) will compete over the three-day event.

Every team is guaranteed four games in round-robin play.

Elisha Amman with the Medicine Hat Ringette Association says this tournament will not only benefit local athletes, but also the community.

“For this year’s tournament, they expect over 430 thousand dollars of economic impact in Medicine Hat. So that is a pretty significant event for our community.”

Games start at 8 a.m. on Friday and a full schedule can be found here.
