Man charged in ATM Fire

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A 30-year-old man has been charged with arson following an investigation into a suspicious fire.

Medicine Hat police say the fire occurred in the ATM area of a bank in the downtown on Nov. 1.

The fire department determined the fire which caused more than $75,000 in damage was suspicious.

The Major Crimes Unit began investigating and charged the 30-year-old man with arson and two counts of disobeying a court order on Friday Nov. 19.
