Three men charged following fight downtown

Medicine Hat, AB–Three men have been charged following an investigation into an altercation that happened downtown earlier this month.

Police say officers responded to a report of a man suffering from significant injuries around 11:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2021.

When police arrived they discovered another man who was also injured.

Major Crimes and the Patrol Section investigated and determined a fight had broken out between three men in the 300 block of 6th Avenue SE. The fight escalated and several weapons were produced. Two of the males required medical treatment for their injuries. All three of the individuals were known to each other and this was not a random incident.

The accused range in age from 23 to 29 years old. All three are charged with assault causing bodily harm. Two are also charged with assault with a weapon and possess weapon dangerous to the public.
