UCP government’s plan builds on proposals from the former NDP government but lacks concrete goals, objectives and details. AB voters can see which party will diversify our economy. As 42+ years has proven that point.

I vaccinated for my elderly mother who still has a spunky attitude, reads a lot, lives in her own home and still has a garden. I vaccinated for my neighbor who is immune compromised so I can help when needed. I vaccinated for all those working in health care who are exhausted and beyond. I vaccinated for me as I want to have as normal live as possible, enjoying the gym, having a meal out, going for a coffee. I vaccinated because I care about others who aren’t eligible or can’t be. I vaccinated because as a citizen in society we need to care about each other’s wellbeing and not just think of ourselves. If we do not then who will?

Businesses have the right to decide for their business if employees, contract workers, etc, need to be vaccinated. If you don’t want to follow that, you too have rights. You can work elsewhere, move to another province that won’t require it, move to another country.

If you worked for some companies, you need to agree with random drug tests. Fail and you may be terminated with cause. This is for health and safety reasons. Don’t want the drug tests, you don’t work there. So vaccinations are also for health and safety reasons. Don’t want vaccinated don’t work there.

Mad Hatter

I empathize with organizations that want to spread the word about their causes by tying ribbons on trees, light standards and fences etc, but what happens to the ribbons over time? Do these same people go out and remove them or do they leave them until the ribbons deteriorate and pollute the land? On one hand you want sympathy for your cause but then you leave the ribbons to disintegrate and pollute.
