City’s Community Vibrancy Grant returns

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat will once again offer its Community Vibrancy Grant, supporting programs that bolster community spirit and promote quality of life.

The purpose of the Community Vibrancy Grant is to provide one-time funding for projects that reflect the spirit of City Council’s Strategic Plan 2019-2022, says the city in a release, and supports at least one of the following four objectives.

• Promote vibrancy in the community of Medicine Hat
• Emphasize the spirit of the community by accentuating and celebrating the spirit of living in Medicine Hat
• Promote recreation, leisure, social, arts, cultural or heritage opportunities vital to the well-being and quality of life in Medicine Hat
• Promote a sense of belonging in the community

“The first year of Community Vibrancy Grants helped a number of local organizations create opportunities for community to come together, build relationships and celebrate living in Medicine Hat,” said Leah Prestayko, director of community development. “We are hoping to again see creative and innovative projects that will again help people to feel connected and focus on the positive.”
