Widespread outages are being reported for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp on Monday.

According to the website DownDetector, where users can report website issues, people around the globe began experiencing issues just before 9:30 a.m.

There is no immediate comment from Facebook, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp on the cause of the outage or how long it is expected to last.
