MEDICINE HAT, AB – Canada’s largest career college network, Academy of Learning Career College, is reopening to in person learning and is under new leadership.
They are celebrating with an open house in Medicine Hat today.
As Academy of Learning reopens, it invites prospective students looking for a career change to check out the different programs it offers and is also offering a guaranteed grant as part of the open house. This means each student who attends, virtually or in person, and meets an advisor, will receive a government grant.
Programs at Academy of Learning are designed to be completed within a year and can be done online or in person.
Instructor Elaine Jeffrey says all the programs now fit the Alberta 2030 Building Skills for Jobs program. An initiative designed to ensure it’s responsive to students’ needs now and into the future.
“Alberta is looking to build a better province so all of our courses actually align with that course and so everything that we are doing now, all of our courses, fit in with that program,” Jeffrey said.
Anyone referring someone to the Academy of Learning will earn $500 if the person registers. The college is open until 8 p.m.
