City, Invest Medicine Hat win provincial award

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Invest Medicine Hat and the City of Medicine Hat were recently honoured with the Minister’s Awards for Municipal Excellence in the Building Economic Strength category.

The two groups were commended for their “innovative approach to economic supports” to help the local business community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, the City of Medicine Hat Business Innovation Grant (MHBIG) and the Shop YXH Marketplace platform were highlighted.

Jason Melhoff, managing director at Invest Medicine Hat, called the award a great honour.

“Innovation and collaboration are instrumental as we find ways to support our local businesses, look to attract new industry, increase job opportunities for our residents, and advance our region through this pandemic,” he said.
