Mad Hatter

Our City Mental Health department at the hospital and beyond is in crisis, if 3 doctors are leaving from 1 department there’s something seriously wrong. How has it been allowed to get to this level? We are already aware young men have lost their lives in a number that is alarming. Who’s in charge? What are the measures taken to ensure people get the help they need? Covid has contributed but not to this extent.

Mad Hatter

Volunteers witnessed the disgraceful conduct of undermining of staff and now they won. Well if a Board of Directors can honestly say they did all they could to actively support when it was necessary we say that’s inaccurate. The lazy bullies that got volunteers to do their work while they made excuses are now going to have to actually work. The plotters and scheming and the BOD did little too late. Hold your head up high and let the shadows fall behind you as you and we know you did your very best.

Happy Hatter

Thank goodness for the Polio vaccine, after seeing many people die and disabled due to Polio, a vaccine was created. Polio is now nonexistent . You don’t hear of large numbers of people getting polio. No social media to use scare tactics, no one freaking out over possible side effects. It was gladly taken to reduce the risk.

Mad Hatter

Does anyone realize the family stress and nurse stress for a COVID patient? What about the daily cost to health care for this care? What about the experimental medications to help the individual who is in ICU due to COVID? Ever wonder about the mental health of our nursing staff? If you can, get vaccinated to reduce the risk of serious cases.

Mad Hatter

How many people know that the waterfront district plan is to close river road? Think of the traffic congestion on 1st street since you won’t be able to bypass the underpass. Emergency vehicles will have trouble getting to/from Maple Ave at rush hour. Some of the larger emergency vehicles can’t use the underpass due to height restrictions so river road is essential. And, if they close Finlay bridge to traffic…wow!!! What a mess. I hope when the city does it’s vehicle movement assessment for downtown that they see what a problem this will be. Is it worth it??

Mad Hatter

How expected was a comment that “we councillors feel we and the mayor are doing a terrific job,” seriously patting yourselves on the back… When your business acumen is not to be envied and the head in the sand attitude to science we would be bonkers to consider re-election.
