Alberta proof of vaccination card available this week

Sep 14, 2021 | 11:08 AM

Albertans will be able to print a proof of vaccination card on Thursday, the government has announced.

The printout will be available through MyHealth Records.

The province also says work is underway on a QR code to show proof of vaccination. It is expected to be available “in the coming weeks.”

A QR code will be an easier, faster and more secure way to share the immunization record when needed, the province says.

Albertans are encouraged to save their proof of vaccination card on their phone or print it out before it’s needed.

Anyone who needs help can contact the MyHealth Records support line at 1-844-401-4016 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Proof of Vaccination FAQ on the government website answers common questions about getting an immunization record.

To access MyHealth Records you must first have a MyAlberta Digital ID, which can be created at account.alberta.ca using an Alberta driver’s licence or identification card.
