Kin Coulee tunnel under Trans-Canada Highway closed

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The tunnel connecting Kin Coulee Park to the environmental reserve area below the Saamis Teepee is closed.

The City of Medicine Hat issued a release on Friday afternoon advising of the closure, saying it’s due to flooding.

Residents can get to the environmental reserve from the Saamis Tepee site.

Assessment of the tunnel will take place early next week to determine further measures, says the city. Staff are investigating engineered solutions to resolve future flooding issues.
