Short-staffed Edmonton hopsital reschedules more than 50 surgeries

Alberta Health Services says 53 surgeries have been rescheduled at an Edmonton hospital because of a staff shortage.

It says four operating rooms in the orthopedic centre at the Royal Alexandra Hospital will be closed for three days.

It says there are not enough doctors to cover post-surgical care.

Emergency orthopedic surgeries are going ahead.
