Broncs & Honky Tonks set for September at Grandstand

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Broncs & Honky Tonks Rodeo will return to the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds next month.

It will take place outside at the Grandstand Arena from Sept. 17-19. Tickets go on sale Aug. 17 at 10 a.m.

“After a successful Summer Pro Rodeo, we are looking forward to welcoming fans back to the grounds for another rodeo!” says Stampede general manager Kara Brake. “We encourage families to come out and take in this action-packed event.”

Broncs & Honky Tonks will feature saddle bronc, bareback, bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, junior steer riding and breakaway roping.

The rodeo starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Ticket for adults are $20 for one day or $45 for three days. Tickets for those 12 and under are $10 for one day or $25 for three.

For $40 you can get a Sunday Family Package that includes two adult and two child tickets. These are only available at the Stampede Office.

The event, usually held inside the fieldhouse in the spring, was postponed this year due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time.
