COVID-19 outbreak at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Alberta Health Services has confirmed the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital has a COVID-19 outbreak.

The outbreak was declared on Aug. 11, one patient and one staff member tested positive.

AHS says outbreak control measures have been implemented on each of the affected units. The hospital, an acute care facility, is listed on outbreak status with two or more confirmed cases.

CHAT News reached out to Alberta Health Services but they said no further information was available.
