Co-op Place hosting hiring fairs next month

MEDICINE HAT, AB – When Medicine Hat Tigers games, concerts and other events return to Co-op Place they’ll need people to serve customers.

They’re getting ready by hosting two drop-in style hiring fairs for part-time food and beverage workers in August.

On Aug. 4 the hiring fair will be from noon to 8 p.m. and on Aug. 7 it will be noon to 6 p.m.

“Co-op Place is a dynamic and fun atmosphere to work in, especially during hockey games and concerts,” said Trampas Brown, manager of Guest Experience and Operations. “We have several different positions that we’re looking to hire for and a number of spots we’re looking to fill.”

Anyone over 15 years old is encouraged to bring their resume and two references, and be prepared for more.

“We’ll be interviewing on the spot,” Brown added. “We want to hire people who have a positive attitude and who are excited to work for the city in one of Medicine Hat’s premier entertainment venues.”

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A satisfactory police information check will also need to be completed prior to hiring.
