MEDICINE HAT, AB – An event is coming this summer that might help you and your family connect in meaningful ways.

It’s called Bonding Bingo and provides 30 engaging and educational activities over the course of 60 days.

The free, six-week program is put on by the Sanare Centre (formerly SARC). It features a variety of activities including an ice cream night, yoga classes and a Zoom opportunity with magician Matt Johnson.

Other local nonprofits, including the Women’s Shelter and CMHA have contributed and will host workshops.

Executive director of Sanare Christina Johnson says the focus was on fun, bonding and being together.

“We know that COVID has been very hard on families and we wanted to give families something fun to do over the summer that is COVID safe and community-friendly,” Johnson said. “We engaged businesses and other local charities to put together the 30 activities over the 60 days to bring families closer together.”
