Summer camps back at the college this year

Jun 23, 2021 | 9:52 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Summer camps are returning to Medicine Hat College.

The college says it will have something for everyone between the ages of five and 14.

“We are prepared to deliver the high quality programs MHC is known for in a safe and controlled environment as we come out of the pandemic. Campers will have so many opportunities to explore new things this summer and we can’t wait to get started,” says Amber Kornelson, recent Bachelor of Education graduate and returning summer camp coordinator.

The camps being offered range from outdoor adventures and sport-specific camps to art exploration and science experiments.

The college says families can expect a few changes this year due to public health measures. Capacity in all programs has been reduced and most camps are scheduled for a full day from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The summer camps will start the week of July 5. To make scheduling easier, many of the sessions have multiple dates throughout the summer
