MHPS member under investigation

MEDICINE HAT, AB- An officer with the MHPS has been placed on administrative duties while an investigation occurs.

The Medicine Hat Police Service confirmed a formal complaint from a member of the public was filed about the off-duty conduct of a MHPS member.

The officer is now being investigated criminally by the Major Crimes Unit.

The Medicine Hat Police Service said the member can’t be named because the investigation is still underway.
