Hunter Brothers booked for Medicine Hat Stampede

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The 2021 Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede will feature a grandstand show after all, possibly the first live concert in the city in more than 16 months.

Announced on CHAT 94.5 this morning, Hunter Brothers will perform on Saturday, July 31.

“After a long year and a half without concerts we look forward to being able to host a great night of music,” says Marni Fisher, entertainment committee chair, in a release.

Tickets, starting at $49, will go on sale Thursday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at mhstampede.com or Stampede Office. A presale for the CHAT Universe -begins Wednesday, June 16 at 10 a.m.

Hunter Brothers performed at the Stampede in 2019 and were to perform in 2020 before the entire event was cancelled.

The group from Shaunavon, Sask. will release its new album Been a Minute on June 30.

Rodeo tickets

Tickets for the Summer Pro Rodeo will also go on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m.

“After having to cancel all rodeo events in 2020 we are very excited to announce that tickets will be on sale for the 2021 Summer Pro Rodeo this Thursday,” says Stampede general manager Kara Brake. “We have been working closely with the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and are looking forward to hosting a great rodeo event!”

Stampede says anyone who had previously purchased tickets to the Summer Pro Rodeo will still be able to use their tickets for the 2021 Summer Pro Rodeo.
