MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Family Leisure Centre has announced its plans to reopen.
It will start with a soft opening this weekend.
The South Country Co-op Fitness Centre will be open from 9:15 until 3:30 Saturday and Sunday.
Michele Josey, manager of community connections with parks and recreation, says registering is needed to book your workout.
Meantime, other activities and programs will be available beginning Monday, June 14.
The FLC will announce more information on those activities Saturday morning at 9 AM on their social media pages.
“Things like aqua-fit, water walking, we will have the gymnasium offering basketball, pickleball, floor hockey. We will have potentially the Kinsmen free skate will be offered. Group fitness will of course be outdoors.”
Josey adds they have also increased capacity at Hill Pool and Strathcona Pool for this weekend.

The city also announced that Echo Dale swim lake will open on June 18. The swim lake will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. Washrooms will be open to the public with increased cleaning measures in place.
