Berm walks in Lions and Strathcona Island Parks
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program wants you to experience the berms in Lions and Strathcona Island Parks and learn about the surrounding riparian areas.
The program is hosting The Berm Walk! on June 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. They are part of the Riparian Areas Rock! Series.
The height of the berm provides an awesome view of the surrounding areas, they say. As well, the riparian zones along the rivers, creeks and wetlands are some of the most critical habitats for prairie wildlife and plants.
There is limited availability and anyone interested is asked to register by phoning the Nature Line at 403-529-6225. The meeting location will be provided to those who register. The walks will last about one hour.
