MEDICINE HAT, AB – The new season of the Medicine Hat Farmers’ Market opens this Saturday.

The market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from June 5 until Oct. 2 at the Cypress Centre. Admission is free.

Co-ordinator Doreen Gunderson says the market will operate under public health restrictions as it did last year.

“We are following the guidelines Farmers’ Markets have been given by Alberta Chief Medical Officer and Alberta Health Services,” reads a release. “We will have social distancing in place as well as hand sanitizing stations to help keep you, your family, our vendors and staff safe.”

Fresh produce, homemade baking, fruits, meats, crafts, jewelry, fresh roasted coffee and many more items to choose from.

“The Farmers’ Market continues to be a staple at the Stampede Grounds, thanks to the many vendors who participate and the public who generously supports them,” says Gunderson.
