Stacy Hammel resigns as trustee

Hammel resigns Prairie Rose School Board position

DUNMORE AB — The Prairie Rose School board will function with one less trustee following the resignation of Stacy Hammel.

She’s been representing the area of Foremost and 40 Mile since 2017.

In a release from Prairie Rose Schools, Hammell says ” serving as school board trustee has been an incredibly rewarding experience”

“I have appreciated the opportunity to serve my community and represent all students in Prairie Rose Public Schools. As trustees it is our job to look at the system as a whole and bridge community needs with division-level approaches. From this experience, I take away a whole new appreciation for the work school staff do and the decisions that are required as part of overall school operations.”

Board chair Stuart Angel says Hammel brought a fresh perspective and approach to the Prairie Rose Board and her contributions will be missed.

A by-election to fill the seat will not be held, as the term expires ahead of the October 18 civic elections in Alberta.
