There are 12,019 cases in the South Zone. There are 837 active cases and 11,057 recovered. The death total in the zone is at 125.
An AHS spokesperson told CHAT News on Thursday AHS South Zone currently has 39 COVID-19 positive individuals in hospital. There are 24 at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, with seven of those in the ICU. Medicine Hat Regional Hospital has 13 inpatients, with four of those in the ICU. The Brooks Health Centre and Big Country Hospital in Oyen each have one inpatient.

The MD of Taber has 564 total cases — 32 active cases, 526 recovered and there have been six deaths. The vaccination rate for all ages is 28.7 per cent.
Special Areas No. 2 has 96 total cases – 10 active cases, 85 recovered and there has been one death.
Brooks has 1,469 total cases — 41 active cases and 1,413 are recovered. Brooks has recorded 15 deaths.
The County of Newell has a total of 214 cases — 28 active cases, 184 recovered and there have been two deaths. The vaccination rate for all ages is 37.2 per cent, including Brooks.
The County of Warner has 437 total cases. There are 46 active cases, 388 are recovered cases and there have been three deaths in the county. The vaccination rate for all ages is 35.4 per cent.
The City of Lethbridge has a total of 4,717 cases. There are 251 active cases, 4,429 recovered and there have been 37 deaths. Lethbridge County has 1,212 cases, 116 active cases, 1,084 recovered and there have been 12 deaths.

Saskatchewan has a total of 45,310 cases, 1,776 considered active. There are 43,010 recovered cases and there have been 524 COVID-19 deaths in the province.
