Immunization clinics underway at JBS, Cargill beef plants

CALGARY – COVID-19 vaccination clinics are underway at two of Canada’s largest beef packing plants in southern Alberta.

Both the Cargill plant, near High River and the JBS Canada facility in Brooks were hit hard by outbreaks last year.

Plans for a vaccination clinic at Cargill were put off last week.

One of the Cargill workers says people are excited today and are being taken off the line, 40 at a time, to line up and get their shots.

The immunizations will take place over the next three days
