City playground equipment closed over safety concerns

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The playground equipment at the Muir Crescent playground in Crescent Heights has been closed after a poor safety inspection.
In a release, the City of Medicine Hat says the inspection by a certified playground inspector “found several safety concerns which require immediate closure of the structure for the safety of the public.”
The city says more inspections will be done next week to determine if the safety concerns can be repaired or replaced and if the playground can reopen.
