Single-vehicle collision knocks out power on Southeast Hill

MEDICINE HAT, AB – About 2,300 customers on the city’s Southeast Hill are without power this morning.

Medicine Hat police say that a power pole was knocked over due to a single-vehicle collision in the 900 block of First Street SW. The collision happened just before 8 a.m. near the Windmill Garden Centre.

City of Medicine Hat crews are on scene and working to restore power to about 2,343 customers. The city says the outage will last about one to two hours.
