Echo Dale Campground accepting reservations Monday

Feb 26, 2021 | 1:22 PM

If you’re looking for a campground close to home this summer you might want to check out the Echo Dale Campground.

Registration for the campground will open on Monday, March 1 at 7 a.m.

The sites are unserviced and not designated. They are pull in and park on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There is a maximum of five self-contained recreational vehicles with a maximum of eight people per unit on site.

Shared spaces at the campground include a camp kitchen with a wood-burning stove (must bring your own wood; no nail or metal objects in wood), a large, shared fire pit area, pit toilets and picnic tables.

A site is $30 plus GST per night or you can book the entire community campground per night for up to five self-contained vehicles for $150 plus GST.

All reservations require a non-refundable reservation fee of $10 per booking.

The campground is open from May 28 to Sept. 8.

Visit the city’s website for more information.

Echo Dale has had a day-use area for a number of years which has then also been able to be booked out as a group camping spot, says the city.

The decision was made for this summer to try individual bookings for this community camping area.

Alberta Parks will begin accepting reservations at its campgrounds on March 4.
