Train derailment near Bow Island results in small amount of grain spilled

BOW ISLAND, AB — 14 grain cars from a CP freight train left the tracks outside of Bow Island just before 11 a.m. Sunday.
A small amount of grain spilled as a result of the derailment, which was about 5 kilometers east of Bow Island near Range Road 103.
CP says there were no injuries to the crew and the incident wasn’t serious enough to require attendance from the Bow Island fire department.
