Medicine Hat, AB–Crescent Heights High School is no longer On Alert status have two positive cases were confirmed to be negative.

Earlier this week, SD 76 notified families on behalf of Alberta Health Services that there had been two positive cases connected to the school.

On Friday afternoon, the School Board sent out the following release with this message from AHS:

“AHS Public Health works collaboratively with school divisions to identify close contacts of confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19. This swift action is important to reduce further exposures of COVID-19 in school settings. On occasion, some probable cases are confirmed to be negative for COVID-19 with a lab test.”

Upon further verification of the negative test, AHS released any students and staff who were in quarantine. They advise continuing to practice daily health screening and follow all COVID-19 prevention measures.
