‘Schitt’s Creek’ follows Golden Globe noms with five SAG nominations
NEW YORK — Canadian sitcom “Schitt’s Creek” continues to storm the awards circuit.
The Ontario-shot riches-to-rags tale was nominated for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series by the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards on Thursday.
Stars Annie Murphy, Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy were also all nominated individually.
The SAG Awards love came just a day after the series got five Golden Globe nominations, and a few months after “Schitt’s Creek” swept the major comedy categories at the Emmys, winning seven trophies.
