The Saskatchewan government says it will table its next budget on April 6th when the spring sitting of the legislature starts.
Premier Scott Moe says it will be a budget designed to see the province through the rest of the COVID-19 pandemic and then into a strong economic recovery.
In November, Finance Minister Donna Harpauer forecast a deficit of two-billion dollars for the current fiscal year which ends at the end of March.
The Opposition NDP says the recall of the legislature is later than normal, leaving little time for scrutiny of the government.
