Fire crews extinguish house fire

MEDICINE HAT, AB- Members of the Medicine Hat fire department quickly knocked down a fire inside a home on Clark Cres. SE early Saturday morning.

Crews responded to the report at around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Platoon Cheif Kevin Heinrich said 17 members from all three stations responded to the call.

The family inside was able to get out safely.

The fire is believed to have started in the utility room of the house, according to Heinrich.

The investigation into the cause is still ongoing.
