Police charge Lethbridge business with ‘contravening public health order’

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge police reported they have given an appearance notice for a court date on Jan. 22 for a business in Lethbridge.
Police were given the task to check a number of businesses that had publicly stated they were going to open Monday in contravention of the Public Health Act.
One business was found in non-compliance and the owner was charged under Section 73(1) of the Public Health Act for contravening a public health order.
Police did not say which business violated these rules and have said they will release more information when it is presented.
