Potential cougar sighting reported in Strathcona Park

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A potential cougar sighting is being reported in Strathcona Park with city officials warning residents to be on the lookout and exercise caution.

The sighting was reported to the city’s parks and recreation department which has shared the information with Alberta Fish and Wildlife officials, according to a Thursday afternoon press release from the City of Medicine Hat.

Any further sightings should be reported to the city parks department at 403-529-3680.

Officials are asking residents to be aware of their kids, pets and surroundings while using the city’s parks.
