Group activities for same household families back at FLC

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The city is dedicating time at the Family Leisure Centre for same household families to play and be active together.

The provincial government amended restrictions around sports and physical activities to allow them if the group is comprised only of members of the same household.

The following activities are now available for pre-registration:

• Basketball
• Pickleball
• Badminton
• Floor Hockey
• Tennis
• Soccer
• Parent Play (for preschool children)

“With this opportunity, we’re dedicating available time for same household families to play and stay active together at the Family Leisure Centre,” said Natalie Sauer, manager of recreation, in a release. “We know how important it is for all of us to remain active and spend time with each other, while still respecting the restrictions that are in place to keep everyone in the community safe.”
