Charity calendar expected to raise significant funds for HALO

MEDICINE HAT — A fundraiser for the HALO air ambulance service has taken off, to the point where a sell-out is expected.

HALO printed 3,000 calendars – offering a total of 15 thousand dollars in prizes that will be awarded in 2021.

HALO executive director Kim Simpson says sales have gone so well, they’re cautioning people not to send money for a calendar that they may not be able to supply.

“At the moment, we’re about 80 per cent sold” says Simpson.

“We’ve had a couple people send us e-transfers for a calendar that haven’t phoned us first, so it’s really helpful if we get a phone call first, that way we have the inventory to fill it, especially if we come close to the end.”

The calendars sell for $25 and Simpson expects they will be sold out, perhaps before the December 16th early bird draw.

She advises people looking to buy a calendar call the office or check social media for places where they might still be able to obtain one.
