MEDICINE HAT — A Medicine Hat man will be sentenced in February, after pleading guilty to a charge related to a hit and run accident involving a cyclist.

Daniel Leger was charged after a cyclist was hit on the Trans Canada highway east of Medicine Hat on July 8 of last year.

The cyclist was heading west when he was struck and left on the side of the road.

He wasn’t found until another motorist called 9-1-1.

Diligent investigation by members of the Redcliff RCMP allowed them to trace a piece of the offending vehicle that was found at the accident scene.

Leger is to be sentenced on February 19th in Medicine Hat Provincial court.
