Province shatters single-day case record for fourth day in row

EDMONTON, AB- The province of Alberta confirmed 1,584 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, shattering yesterday’s daily case record.

There are 12,195 active cases across Alberta with 319 in hospital and 60 in ICU.

In Medicine Hat, there are 91 active cases of COVID-19, 115 recoveries and two deaths associated with the virus.

Cypress County has 41 active cases and 68 recoveries.

The City of Brooks has 43 active cases, 1208 recoveries and 12 deaths.

The Municipal District of Taber has 95 active cases , 89 recoveries and two deaths.

The City of Lethbridge has 162 active cases and seven deaths.

In a tweet on Sunday, the province’s chief medical officer of health urged Albertans to follow public health measures.

She also urged people to seek help if they are struggling with their mental health.
