Province records highest single-day COVID-19 increase on Saturday

EDMONTON, AB- The province of Alberta confirmed 1,026 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. The new cases mark the highest number of single-day case numbers since the pandemic began.

Regional numbers for Medicine Hat and surrounding areas will be made available Nov. 16.

As of Friday, Medicine Hat reached enhanced status after six new cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of active cases to 34.

Aside from the record daily number, Alberta health also confirmed three additional deaths in the province, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 401.
